WALTON I
Caleb Walton; son of Thomas
Walton and Pricilla Hunt
1.
Henry Walton ~ {Caleb
Walton's son, HENRY, b. about 1715, Moreland Manor, Philadelphia Co.,
Pennsylvania?
b. c1715 - m. Frederick Co VA Nov. 16, 1750, Alice
Worthington, dau. of, Samuel Worthington and Sarah Simcock. Samuel Worthington,
first son of Robert Worthington, "The Quaker", who lived at
"Quarry Bank", on the Opeckon, in Frederick Co. VA, known today as
"Piedmont". They removed to Rowan/Guilford Co NC sometime before
1760. Alse aka Alice Walton nee Worthington appears as a widow by 1785 in land
records for John Walton, and by 1791, makes a Will, leaving her youngest son
Nathaniel the 250 acres on which he now lives. Henry Walton, d. c1784. Alice d.
somewhat after 1791 and doesn't show up in the 1800 Census.
I have made quite a bit of study of these folks, settling in
the Northern Neck of VA from.PA. My theory is, that this Henry Walton may come
from.the 4 Byberry Walton bros. who settled, pre-1700's with William Penn. {Pam
Notes Worthington: - http://dr.g.tripod.com/nc_notes.htm
Robert Worthington sold to Samuel Washington, brother of
GEORGE, some of this land, and it is known as "Harewood". Henry
Walton lived on acres adj. to Worthingtons. The Ohio Gov Thomas Worthington was
a cousin of Nathaniel Walton's mother, Alice Worthington. Ohio's first Gov was Dr Edward Tiffin,
the husband of Mary Worthington, Thomas' sister. Even Gov Lucas is connected and goes on to Iowa as a first
state leader. {Pam <pjaz@pacbell.net>
It is there on Deep River, at the Guil/Rand county border,
that Henry Walton and Alice aka "Alse" Worthington raised our
Nathaniel Walton who married Rebecca Loyd. This Nathaniel is named as "my
youngest son" on Alse Walton's 1791 Will, and he goes on with his grown
children to Highland Co. Union Twp Ohio, @ 1809.
Alse, Alice Worthington Walton, is the daughter of Samuel
Worthington and Sarah Simcock. Her cousin, Thomas Worthington, becomes an early
Ohio Gov.
This Henry Walton and Alice Worthington lived in Frederick
Co VA on the Opequon, where Lawrence and George Washington had their lands.
Samuel Washington's land, "Harewood", was once part of our
Worthington's land, there, known as "Quarry Bank", owned by Robert
Worthington, Samuel's father. {Pam

2. John Walton
John Walton dies in 1803, had 7 children of which David
b.1777, is one - John family stays mostly in NC except for oldest son, David
Walton. He was probably married to Elizabeth Morgan, possibly the daughter of
Lewis Morgan.
Elizabeth is widowed of John Walton by 1803. She
remarries to widowed Samuel Clark Jr., and they have a son, Lewis Morgan Clark,
b.1805. - Lewis Morgan Clark was the only son of widowed Samuel Clark and
widowed, Elizabeth Morgan Walton Clark. It is believed that John Walton's
widow, Elizabeth, marries to Samuel Clark, because a possible daughter, of John
and Elizabeth, Alice Walton, is in Samuel Clark's 1817 Will. Samuel Clark is
also the father of Dorcas Clark who marries to John Gossett son of Sarah Walton
Gossett.
