Jacob J. George son of #6. b. April 11, 1849, Elmwood, Peoria co., Illinois. He was only 14 years, 10 months of age when he enlisted at Pella, Iowa on the 11th of February 1864 in Co. K. 33rd Regiment, Iowa Volunteers.~ Jacob died, while at in training, at a hospital at Little Rock, Arkansas from "the result of exposure incidental to Army life", on the 2nd day of September, 1864. Word of his death was received in Pella by Susannah George, his mother, on September 16, 1864. |

Riley George son of #6. Corporal Riley George, was Killed in action by gunshot wound,
at the battle of Averasboro, near Black River, North Carolina.
A cousin John A. Smith, who served in the same company, was with
him at the time, and saw that he had a decent burial. The date
of this action was on March the 16th, 1865. His age was 28 years,
11 months 21 days. |

William A. Jones, born 1805, W. Virginia. The family was living in Knox co., near Yates City, Illinois
at the time of the 1850 census. Removed to Priarie City, Jasper co., Iowa in 1861.

Married 1st., February 22, 1839, Rhoda A. McDonald, b. Indiana. Ellis and Rhoda migrated from Highland co.
Ohio to Knox co., Illinois, ca 1839. Rhoda must have died there as Ellis married 2nd., Malita (McDonald) McKee.
Ellis died at Garrison, Nebraska, December 25, 1899.
